Job Title: Salesforce Automation Tester

Hiring Location: Hyderabad

Experiance: 3 to 6yrs

Role Summary:

UST is seeking a Salesforce Automation Tester who can independently execute test cases, guide junior testers, and contribute to test planning and automation strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing across Salesforce projects, with a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities / Outcomes:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on user stories and requirements.

• Ensure full coverage of functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.

• Maintain traceability between test cases and requirements using RTM.

• Log, track, and retest defects; conduct defect RCA and reporting.

• Contribute to automation script creation using Selenium or Playwright.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality deliverables.

• Participate in UAT and support production validation activities.

• Facilitate process improvements and share lessons learned with the broader team.

• Mentor and support other testers in the project.

Must-Have Skills:

• Manual Testing: Test planning, scenario creation, execution, defect logging

• Test Types: Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, System

• Salesforce Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud features

• Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright

• Defect Management: Defect identification, tracking, validation, and retesting

• Documentation: Experience in creating RTM, test plans, test reports

• Processes: Knowledge of software testing methodologies, standards, and QA best practices

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder interaction

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to Salesforce UAT and production support activities

• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured)

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools for test automation integration

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology

• Understanding of sandbox refresh and Salesforce deployment processes

• Exposure to performance or security testing tools

Experience Range:

• Total Experience: 3 to 6 years

• Relevant Salesforce Testing Experience: Minimum 2+ years

• Automation Testing Experience: 1+ years (hands-on in Selenium or Playwright preferred)

Performance Measures:

• % of user story coverage by test cases

• Timely delivery of test artifacts

• Valid defects identified and resolved

• Reduction in escaped defects post-release

• Reusability and maintainability of test scripts

• Contribution to knowledge sharing or process improvement
