Job Summary

Holzinn Home (North) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative furniture solutions that blend aesthetics, functionality, and practicality. This role requires strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and knowledge of modern materials and manufacturing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and present furniture concepts, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Create 2D/3D models and detailed shop drawings for production.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, fabrics, and fittings for projects.
• Collaborate with production teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure design feasibility.
• Modify or enhance existing designs based on feedback and functional needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, modern design styles, and new materials.
• Ensure all designs meet quality standards, ergonomics, and functionality.
• Prepare mood boards, material samples, and renderings for client presentations.
• Work on both custom and mass-production furniture projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Furniture Design, Interior Design, or Industrial Design.
• 5 years of experience in furniture design (custom or residential/commercial projects).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Lumion, or similar design software.
• Strong creative thinking and visualization skills.
• Knowledge of joinery, upholstery, woodwork, and finishing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
