Furniture Designer — Medical & Hospitality

• Plan and design medical and hospitality furniture solutions tailored to clinical workflows and hospitality brand standards.
• Produce 3D/2D deliverables: concept sketches, renders, parametric CAD models, detailed shop drawings, BOMs, and installation details.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, design verification and installation support; document as-built conditions.
• Ensure designs meet infection-control, ergonomics, cleanability and safety requirements for healthcare, and durability/aesthetic standards for hospitality.
• Optimize designs for metal fabrication processes (stainless steel 304/316, aluminum, tubular/welded frames, sheet metal, powder coating) and joinery.
• Prepare accurate quotations and technical specifications to support sales and procurement; propose value-engineered alternatives when appropriate.
• Order materials and components as required; coordinate with manufacturers/suppliers on technical requirements, lead times and quality expectations.
• Support prototyping, testing and design iteration in the workshop; record lessons learned and update design documentation.
• Maintain and update product libraries, CAD templates, and standardized details.
• Keep current with industry trends, materials, finishes, fittings and relevant codes/regulations.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of furniture design principles, space planning, and user-centric workflows for hospitals/clinics and hotels.
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max (or similar); familiarity with SolidWorks/Inventor and Revit/BIM is a plus.
• Ability to create accurate shop drawings, exploded views, cut lists, and BOMs; strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, and hardware: stainless/aluminum, powder coat, HPL/compact laminate, antimicrobial coatings, hospital-grade casters, hinges, slides, gas springs, integrated equipment.
• Excellent communication and client presentation skills; able to support sales conversations with technical clarity.
• Proven track record in design for fitted furniture, joinery, or metallic furniture projects.
• Experience working with fabrication teams and managing design deliverables to meet project schedules and budgets.

Educational Qualifications: Diploma Or Bachelor’s in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
