Job Title : Furniture Production Draftsman & Production Coordinator

In Sharjah, UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Furniture Production Draftsman & Production Coordinator to prepare accurate technical drawings and coordinate furniture production from design approval through manufacturing and installation. The role bridges design, workshop production, suppliers, and site teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting & Technical Documentation
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings for custom and modular furniture (joinery, cabinetry, seating, tables, etc.).
  • Convert design concepts and 3D models into production-ready drawings.
  • Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and hardware schedules.
  • Ensure drawings comply with production standards, materials, and installation requirements.
  • Revise drawings based on design changes, site conditions, or production feedback.

Production Coordination

  • Coordinate with workshop supervisors, carpenters, CNC operators, and finishers.
  • Plan and track production schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate technical details clearly to the production team.
  • Monitor progress and resolve production issues or clashes.
  • Coordinate with procurement for materials, fittings, and finishes.

Quality Control & Site Coordination

  • Ensure furniture is produced according to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks during production and prior to dispatch.
  • Support site teams with installation drawings and technical clarifications.
  • Assist with site measurements and as-built drawings when required.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
  • Prepare production status reports for project managers.
  • Ensure version control of drawings and documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in furniture production drafting and coordination (custom furniture/joinery preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of furniture materials, joinery methods, finishes, and hardware.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CNC machining drawings.
  • Knowledge of cost optimization and material efficiency.
  • Familiarity with site installation processes.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Reporting To

  • Production Manager / Project Manager

Work Location

Workshop / Factory with occasional site visits
