JOB SUMMARY: Excelerate Energy is currently looking for a Gas Settlements and A/R Supervisor to help support our business growth. This full-time position is located in The Woodlands, Texas. The overall objective of this role is to support and perform our LNG, natural gas, and power customer and vendor settlements and invoicing processes. You will have the opportunity to improve settlement and billing processes, creating efficiencies and enhancing accuracy, as part of a high performing, high profile team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Calculate and reconcile natural gas, LNG and power customer and vendor settlements, including commodity price validations.
  • Prepare weekly accounts receivable aging and report on other performance metrics, addressing results timely.
  • Supervise a team of two Accounts Receivable Analysts
  • Ensure commodity and service customer billings and commodity vendor invoices are properly calculated and reflected in SAP accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies regarding outstanding issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment-related queries and discrepancies.
  • Assist in new customer account set up in the SAP system, ensuring accurate and complete information such as billing addresses, credit limits, and payment terms.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring all necessary journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support internal and external audits related to accounts receivable and intercompany transactions, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Other ad-hoc duties

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in natural gas, LNG, and/or power settlements.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience working with SAP, including the accounts receivable module.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations related to accounts receivable.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience working with SAP S4 Hana.
  • Experience with Enuit Entrade or similar ETRM.
