Gastroenterologist - ANY STATE LICENSE ACCEPTED

Job Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide on-site care for Veterans at the Central Iowa VA. This part-time role includes outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and endoscopic procedures (EGD and colonoscopy). All equipment, supplies, and support staff are provided by the VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform GI consults and follow-up care.
• Conduct EGD and colonoscopy procedures (diagnostic and therapeutic).
• Complete documentation in the VA electronic health record.
• Participate in required training and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
• Active, full, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state).
• Current BLS/ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years of recent GI practice experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain VA credentialing and privileging.
• Compliance with immunizations, TB testing, and background checks.

• On-site schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, two days per week.
