Position Title: General Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our accounting outsourcing team. The ideal candidate will manage accounting processes for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance with UAE regulations, and timely financial reporting. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, supporting clients in maintaining reliable financial records, and ensuring adherence to both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments and collections, keeping AP/AR records current.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with VAT, Corporate Tax, and other relevant tax filings in line with UAE regulations.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations to verify cash balances and ensure proper documentation.
- Payroll Processing: Administer client payrolls, including wages, deductions, and bonuses, while ensuring compliance with labour laws.
- Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist clients during internal and external audits.
- Client Communication: Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing queries, providing insights, and visiting client facilities when required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA/CPA qualification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in general accounting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho, FirstBit, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS, UAE tax laws, and compliance requirements.
