Journal Entries & General Ledger:
- Post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with UAE accounting standards (UAE GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including:
- Income Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow Statement
- Support in analyzing variances and identifying trends.
Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR):
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier and customer invoices.
- Handle payment processing and follow-up on overdue accounts to maintain healthy cash flow.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and company records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and reconcile supporting schedules and reports as required.
VAT Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file VAT returns accurately and on time.
Internal Controls:
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation.
Other Duties:
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial procedures are integrated and effective.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
