General Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 3–5 years of proven UAE experience. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in UAE VAT filing, corporate tax compliance, and financial reporting. You will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with UAE accounting standards.
• Manage UAE VAT filing — ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and maintain VAT records.
• Assist in Corporate Tax filing and compliance as per UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure proper documentation of accounting entries.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary financial documentation.
• Monitor cash flow, payroll processing, and petty cash management.
• Stay updated with UAE tax laws and financial regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE (required).
• Hands-on experience with VAT and Corporate Tax filing through the FTA portal.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP).
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is an advantage.
• Experience working in audit firms or trading/manufacturing companies preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax implementation (effective from 2023).
