General Accountant

LAWAZEM is seeking a meticulous and proactive General Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and executing various accounting functions essential for the financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit & loss and balance sheet
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure integrity of financial data
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Coordinate with auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies
• Track accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
• Provide insights and reports to management to aid in decision making

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• CPA or equivalent certification is advantageous
