Job Purpose:

Responsible for carrying out accounting work from data entry through reporting The role provides accurate financial data and information to management by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing reports and presentations

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare assets, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  • Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups and following internal controls
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
  • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with financial legal requirements by studying legislation and advising management on needed actions
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial information and trends
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect company operations
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and professional development
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform additional duties as required by management

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce

2–5 years of relevant experience
