Job Description

Safir Doha Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge and preferably experience in Accounts Receivable within the hospitality industry.

The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring receivables, and supporting daily accounting operations to ensure compliance with company policies and financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, billing, and collections.
• Reconcile guest ledger, city ledger, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare daily revenue reports and ensure accurate posting of income.
• Follow up with clients and companies regarding outstanding balances.
• Assist in month-end closing and preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Coordinate with Front Office and other departments regarding billing discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Support the Finance Manager in other accounting duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Revenue Audit is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel accounting operations.
• Familiarity with hotel PMS systems and financial reporting procedures.
