We are looking for a qualified and experienced General Accountant to join our food trading company. The ideal candidate must have prior work experience in Oman, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage all accounting functions independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations independently
  • Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with Oman financial regulations and tax laws (including VAT)
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns as per local requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities
  • Monitor inventory accounting related to food trading operations
  • Provide financial insights and reports to management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience as a General Accountant
  • Mandatory: Previous work experience in Oman
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Ability to handle full accounting cycle independently
  • Experience with accounting software and MS Excel
  • Good understanding of VAT regulations in Oman
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in food trading or FMCG industry
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO350.000 - RO450.000 per month
