We are looking for a General Accountant in the aluminium and glass industry who manages day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, inventory cost control, and project-based invoicing. They are responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting for manufacturing processes, VAT compliance, and managing accounts payable/receivable for materials and project contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Bookkeeping & Ledger Management: Maintain general ledgers, post journal entries, and record financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) accurately.
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Manage inventory accounting, track raw material costs (aluminium profiles, glass sheets), and compute project fabrication costs.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage vendor payments and customer invoices, including tracking project-based collections.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- VAT & Tax Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local tax authorities.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
- Payroll Management: Process employee salaries, benefits, and expense reports.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Accounting Software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and MS Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of job costing and inventory management.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
