General Cleaner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus in commercial space.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and presentable.
• Carry out custodial duties including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of building systems and equipment.
• Engage in industrial cleaning processes when necessary, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly.
• Collaborate with team members to address any specific cleaning requests or special projects as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality cleaning services.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to residential painting or porter duties are beneficial.
