Licensed In-Home Family Child Care Provider

DESCRIPTION: State-licensed family child care providers based in your home.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 18 years of age, HS diploma or GED required. Must pass criminal background check and complete state-required courses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide high-quality child care for children in your home with a commitment to children’s education, health and safety. Ages can vary by provider’s choice. Two types of licensure: Type A up to 12 children, or Type B up to six children.

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

SALARY: State payments for those eligible for child care benefits are based on the age of children in care and the hours of care. State pays through direct deposit. Private pay rates are set by the provider.

BENEFITS: Free application, training, and coaching available. Providers are considered self-employed.
