General Foreman

Summary:

The General Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all site construction activities to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires strong experience in civil construction, including concrete works, block-work, plastering, and finishing works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day site operations and manage the workforce, including masons, carpenters, steel fixers, helpers, and subcontractors.
• Plan, organize, and monitor work sequences and ensure efficient execution of tasks.
• Oversee all civil activities such as concrete casting, shuttering, blockwork, plastering, and various finishing works.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers for material requirements, inspections, and daily progress reporting.
• Maintain productivity levels and ensure optimum manpower utilization.
• Enforce company safety policies and ensure workers follow HSE procedures at all times.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality compliance and rectify any defects or reworks.
• Assist in preparing daily/weekly progress reports and update management on work status.
• Manage the timely availability of tools, equipment, and materials on-site.
• Resolve site issues, conflicts, or delays proactively.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–8 years of experience in UAE/GCC as a General Foreman.
• Strong background in concrete structures, blockwork, plaster, and finishing works.
• Ability to read drawings and understand technical specifications.
• Excellent leadership, supervision, and communication skills.
