The General Labor Grounds Maintenance position is essential for ensuring that outdoor spaces are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance practices and safe operation of landscaping equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability in attendance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping roles.
• Familiarity with plant care, irrigation systems, and pest management.
• Certification in equipment operation or safety training related to landscaping tools.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or early mornings as required.
• Basic knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to groundskeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding lawns and garden beds.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Collect and dispose of debris, leaves, and trash to keep outdoor areas clean and orderly.
• Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and pest control to promote healthy vegetation.
• Monitor grounds for hazards or maintenance issues and report them to supervisors for timely resolution.
• Support snow removal and ice control efforts during winter months as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects and seasonal cleanups.
