General Laborer (Construction / Erosion Control)

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to assist with erosion and sediment control installation, maintenance, and site cleanup on construction projects. This position involves working outdoors, performing physical labor, and supporting crews in maintaining compliance with environmental and construction site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install erosion control measures (silt fence, wattles, inlet protection, etc.)
• Perform general labor including digging, lifting, hauling, and site cleanup
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as grading, seeding, and sod installation
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with crew leaders and supervisors

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, uneven terrain)
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Reliable transportation to/from yard
• Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping, construction, or erosion control
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and job site safety
• Experience driving trucks with trailers
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
