General Ledger Manager

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA, ICAI) or ACCA qualification is mandatory. Please note, diplomas, certifications, or MBAs alone will not be considered.
  • An additional degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior General Ledger or Audit leadership role.
  • Proven exposure to real estate development in Dubai/UAE is essential. Experience in contracting, facility management, hospitality, or asset management will not be considered.
  • Demonstrated expertise in finalizing accounts, statutory audits, and consolidation in line with IFRS.

Technical Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition for Real Estate), IFRS 16 (Leases), and IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments).
  • Hands-on experience with GL accounting, intercompany reconciliations, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Yardi, MS Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or ZOHO is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of UAE Corporate Tax laws, VAT regulations, and compliance requirements.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be based in Dubai, UAE or willing to relocate.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Candidates with a notice period of 1 to 2 months preferred.
