Government Contractor is interviewing for a full-time General Maintenance Worker (GMW) in the Concord area.
Typical Duties for this position will include but may not be limited to the following;
- Maintains, as directed, functionality of building facilities; door/window repairs, plumbing fixture maintenance/repair, fence lines, water containment systems and interior/exterior lighting components.
- Assists in service order work completion on facility buildings, systems and grounds as required
- Uses tablet to maintains record, daily logs and prepares report pertaining to the operation of the daily/monthly PM inspections, assigned work orders, and assists in making applicable changes to meet operating requirements
- Identifies and coordinates the work of outside contractors in support of the facility, as directed by the Regional Operations Manager
- Follows Company Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, to include utilization of all required, company supplied PPE
- Assists with associated tasks in conjunction with building operations, grounds or as directed
Knowledge/Skillsets:
- General knowledge of mechanical operations, maintenance and repair of commercial/industrial equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical systems related to equipment in assigned work area
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations (OSHA 10) – preferred
- Effectively and safely operates hand tools, pneumatic tools, air compressors and other small equipment related to the maintenance trades
Education/Experience:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Additional trade specific courses - preferred
- Three (3) years’ experience in the maintenance field - preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
- Must have current, valid Drivers License
- Must pass drug screening and background checks
- Must be able to pass and maintain a Government Secret Clearance
Work Environment:
- Schedule expected to be M-F, 8am-5pm.
- Employee will be required to work indoor/outdoor, working during seasonal heat and cold or other adverse weather conditions. Employee may be required to work where they may be regularly exposed to fumes, dust and odors
- Some high noise levels from operations of equipment rooms/areas
- Must be physically able to complete necessary tasks as related to the maintenance of equipment
- May have to work after normal work hours for on-call assignments
