About the role
:
This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and steering the overall business strategy to foster business growth in the country through our office in Riyadh. You will lead high-performing multi-functional teams and manage the organization's business and daily activities to ensure delivery of quality services to customers. Working with the Regional Business team, you will also develop and implement effective business strategies and programs to expand the business footprint in the smart cities industry. Core duties encompass a broad range of tasks, including representing the company as the country representative and building relationships with key stakeholders in the smart cities domain (including government and non-government customers). You will also be overall accountable for managing our offices’ financial budgets, monitoring cash flow, driving sales, and ensuring compliance with local regulations, as well as spearheading the planning and execution of program and project delivery.
Responsibilities
:

Represent ST Engineering Urban Solutions as a country head for our smart cities business
-
Work with the Regional Business to devise overall smart cities business strategy to achieve business targets and execute strategies to drive business growth and expansion

Analyse and map the size of new business opportunities in the short to medium term for future planning
-
Spearhead policies, strategies and directional growth. Develop sales strategies and tactical plans to penetrate into key accounts. Create new pipelines in various market segments to achieve order targets.

Strategize and develop local partnerships.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, suppliers, and government officials, to support business objectives.

Establish and build government relations with relevant national and local authorities to enable all clusters
-
Collaborate with industry players to drive an awareness and preference for the company’s product offerings

Responsible for country P&L, manage financial performance to ensure financial health. Manage budgets and sales revenue efficiently

Evaluate business performance, productivity, and competitiveness
-
Manage suppliers and partners to achieve best support and competitive pricing
-
Oversee all aspects of project delivery (including project initiation and planning, execution and monitoring, budget and resource management, documentation, quality and risk management, issues and escalations, closing and upselling)

Oversee in-country manufacturing activities, if necessary
-
Manage all aspects of URS's operations within the country, including human capital, finance, logistics, customer service and office management. Ensure all departments and functions work cohesively to meet organisation goals.

Set up different functions in organisation expansion to drive towards a stable growth state

Ensure compliance with local regulations, laws, and standards governing business operations, employment practices, and product/services
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, providing training and growth opportunities to enhance their skills and drive success. Manage people and teams effectively to drive retention.

Represent ST Engineering Urban Solutions at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility, reputation, and brand awareness. Drive in-country Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities

Requirements:

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or related fields
-
Minimum 10 years' experience in leadership positions
-
Familiar with business operations of KSA’s transport, airport and/or utilities authorities
-
Strong in strategic thinking with excellent market knowledge and market-driven business development skills
-
Able to translate strategy into action with strong execution and project delivery capabilities
-
Proven track record of managing multiple projects profitably with values of at least SAR100 Million in total
-
Adept at overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth running of the business

Possess financial literacy to make sound business decisions and skilled in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and understanding the financial implications of business decisions. Able to manage P&L with strong financial acumen

Strong leadership capabilities and people management skills
-
Able to inspire, lead, develop and coach teams, set clear goals and motivate employees to achieve high performance
-
Strong communication skills in English. Ability to communicate fluently in Arabic is preferred.

Possess high level of integrity and a role model

This role also covers Jordon and Kuwait
