• Skyports Infrastructure plays a vital role in the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem, designing, building, owning, and operating vertiports that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in cities around the world.
• Skyports Drone Services uses drones to streamline logistics, capture data, and enhance operational efficiency, with a focus on rural deliveries, surveying, surveillance, and maritime services.

The Role:

Skyports is seeking an experienced and independent leader to join us as the General Manager for Dubai. Your primary objective will be to deliver our flagship project in Dubai with Joby Aviation and RTA, delivering a network of vertiports and launching commercial operations in 2026.

Based in Dubai, the role will involve occasional travel within the Middle East and to our global headquarters in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive strategic execution of our Dubai project, overseeing functions across operations, construction, business development and marketing
• Manage Skyports Dubai P/L, manage budgets, forecasts and reports
• Serve as the Accountable Manager for Skyports, ensure the company maintains all required approvals, certifications, and compliance with applicable aviation regulations
• Lead and manage local team, driving accountability, ownership and execution excellence
• Identify and manage project delivery and commercial risks
• Own relationships and liaise with senior leadership from key project partners and government stakeholders
• Provide regular reporting to Skyports senior leadership
• Advise the business on infrastructure matters from the Dubai market perspective

About You:

v Essential

• A strong background of project delivery in real estate, infrastructure and/or aviation
• Leadership presence to direct a large internal team and influence external stakeholders effectively
• Maturity to ask challenging questions and deliver difficult news while maintaining a solution-oriented focus
• Proven ability to plan, lead and manage complex projects and concurrent work-streams across multiple business functions, many with tight deadlines and competing priorities
• A highly motivated, proactive, self-starter and team-player who likes a challenge and has the ingenuity and resilience to find the solutions to overcome them
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language to execute on our project, and to build strong networks and relationships
• Ability to problem solve on the fly; someone who can ask the questions that have not been asked and can find the answers too
• Comfort navigating through ambiguity as this is new industry and no one yet has all the answers
• Flexibility to travel

Preferred

• Experience in managing infrastructure or transport projects in the Middle East
• Experience working with government stakeholders in Dubai
