General Manager- Plant operations

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead our plant operations in Dubai , with a strong focus on managing integrated service lines tailored to the Oil & Gas industry. This includes oversight of manufacturing , service & repair , and rental operations for critical tools and equipment.

As a key member of the leadership team, the GM will be responsible for operational efficiency, HSE compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This position is reporting to the SVP of Operations at HQ .

The facility is API and ISO certified and aligns with strategic investments, featuring state-of-the-art technology and operating 24/7 across two shifts .

Key Responsibilities

1. Profit & Loss Management

• Manage budgets, cost controls, and revenue targets across manufacturing, repair, and rental operations.
• Drive sustainable profitability aligned with corporate goals.

2. Operational Oversight

• Lead end-to-end plant functions including production, logistics, equipment rentals, and technical services.
• Ensure timely, high-quality service delivery that meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.

3. HSE Compliance

• Promote a proactive, zero-incident safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international HSE regulations.

4. Client Relations & Satisfaction

• Build and maintain strong relationships with IOCs, NOCs, drilling contractors, and oilfield service providers.
• Ensure consistent delivery of quality service and maintain high client satisfaction.

5. Leadership & People Development

• Inspire, lead, and manage cross-functional teams across operations, engineering, procurement, and admin.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across departments.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize operational workflows.
• Implement best practices in manufacturing and service operations.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, commercially minded leader who can take ownership of a complex, multi-functional facility serving the demanding Oil & Gas sector.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years in a senior leadership role in Oil & Gas or Manufacturing, including hands-on experience in tubular services, downhole tool rentals , and specialized repair facilities.
• Strong knowledge of API/ISO certifications , service/repair standards, and HSE practices.
• Proven ability to manage multi-shift operations , large teams, and P&L performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business , or related field. Master’s or industry certifications are an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal leadership and client-facing interactions.
