General Manager - Restaurant

Duties

  • Oversee all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a motivated and efficient team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations across all departments.
  • Handle inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Supervise kitchen management tasks such as food production, quality control, and food handling procedures.
  • Maintain POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for smooth transactions and accurate cash handling.
  • Lead shift management by coordinating front-of-house and kitchen activities to optimize service flow.
  • Implement budgeting strategies and monitor financial performance to meet operational goals.
  • Promote a positive work environment through effective team management, staff training, and conflict resolution.
  • Engage with guests to gather feedback, resolve issues promptly, and enhance overall customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector; prior assistant manager or supervisory roles are highly valued.
  • Extensive knowledge of restaurant management practices including food safety, food handling, and kitchen operations.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary standards across casual dining or fine dining settings.
  • Demonstrated skills in staff training & development, interviewing, and team leadership.
  • Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining budgetary targets.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

Pay: $63,646.62 - $76,649.70 per year
