General Manager - Saudi Arabia

The General Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and business growth for the company. The role requires strong expertise in managing large-scale construction projects, driving profitability, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the company’s operations, project teams.
  • Develop and implement strategic business strategic to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, construction standard, safety policies, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Lead business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts, and expanding client base.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
  • Foster strong relationships with government authorities, consultants, subcontractor and suppliers.
  • Recruits, mentor, and develop senior staff to build a high-performing management team.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and industry developments to guide company growth.
  • Report directly to the Board of Directors/Owner with regular updates on company performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a senior management/leadership position.
  • Proven track record of successfully in managing large-scale construction, building or infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
  • Strong knowledge of construction laws, regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia.
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic Proficiency is an advantage).
