Job Summary
The General Services Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating all general administrative and support services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations at site and office locations. This role supports facilities management, logistics, accommodation, transportation, and compliance with company and client requirements in the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Facilities

Manage office and site facilities, including maintenance, housekeeping, and utilities.

Coordinate accommodation arrangements for staff (camps, hotels, apartments).

Ensure offices and camps comply with HSE and company standards.
Logistics & Transportation

Arrange transportation for employees (buses, light vehicles, drivers).
-
Monitor vehicle usage, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption.

Coordinate movement of manpower, materials, and equipment.
Vendor & Contract Management
-
Liaise with suppliers and service providers (accommodation, transport, catering, cleaning).

Monitor service quality and resolve issues with vendors.

Support contract administration and cost control for general services.
Employee Support

Assist employees with general service-related requests.

Coordinate ID cards, access passes, and camp/site access.

Support onboarding and mobilization activities.
Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local regulations.

Maintain records related to accommodation, transport, and assets.

Prepare reports on general services costs, utilization, and performance.
HSE & Site Support

Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure safe working and living conditions.

Support audits and inspections related to facilities and camps.

Ensure emergency preparedness at camps and offices.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Experience
-
3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas or construction industry.

Experience in site-based operations and remote camps preferred.
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong coordination and organizational skills.

Good communication and vendor management abilities.
-
Knowledge of UAE labor laws and site practices is an advantage.

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Language

Additional Requirements

Valid UAE driving license preferred.
