About the Role

The responsibilities of a Data Analytics Trainee include analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns and analyzing trends to make better business decisions.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

• 
  Assist the team in undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis

• Support in building models to address a variety of business problems

• Present and display information using different data visualization techniques

• Support in analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns

• Assist in mining and analyzing data from company databases to drive optimization and Page 2 of 4 improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

• Support in developing custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

• Support the team in the development, implementation and maintenance of databases.

• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• 
  Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, or any other related field.

• 0 to 2 years' experience.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python

Familiarity with Scala, Java or C++

Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)

Proven ability to work with others successfully within a team.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to liaise effectively and coordinate successfully with internal and external stakeholders and other third parties.

Strong understanding of the operational workings of data analytics elements.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and time management skills.
