Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong financial domain expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that support accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ETL pipeline development , SQL Server , and SAS EG/DI , with a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts . Exposure to banking, fintech, or financial services is essential.

This role requires someone who can hit the ground running due to a critical project deadline. Finance knowledge is key, as the position involves optimizing data warehouses and consolidating financial data such as budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports .

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines for financial data processing.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server T-SQL procedures/functions for batch processing and reporting.
• Build and manage SAS EG and SAS DI jobs .
• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, balance sheet, profit and loss).
• Contribute to data warehouse design , data modeling, and database management solutions.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy for month-end close, risk reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Data Engineering within Banking/Finance domain.
• Technical Skills:
  • SQL Development (SQL Server), Oracle, Teradata
  • SAS EG / SAS DI
  • ETL Tools and Processes
  • Data Warehousing & Data Modeling
• Domain Expertise:
  • Financial reporting (Balance Sheet, P&L, Risk Reporting, Budgets, Income Statement Forecasts)
    
    

Preferred Profile:

• Banking or financial services experience (Finance Department exposure).
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management .
• Ability to work on-site in Bahrain.
