Experience: 4-7years
Job Type: Full Time

Job Description
At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re reshaping financial services for millions by putting customers first, data at the core and leading with cutting-edge technology and AI. And now, we’re looking for a brilliant mind to help lead the charge within our AI Centre of Excellence.
As an Advanced Analytics Analyst with expertise in Generative BI, you’ll be a driving force behind one of the most ambitious transformations in UK financial history, transforming how insights are created and consumed across the Bank.
With over 30 million customers, billions of transactions, and 70,000+ colleagues, you’ll tap into one of the richest data ecosystems in the country. And you’ll harness it through AI and Generative BI capabilities, crafting tools that make decision-making intuitive and intelligent.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help lead the development of pioneering BI solutions using generative models, working closely with stakeholders across the business to turn data into decisions, and complexity into clarity.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Design and deliver next-gen Generative BI solutions that solve real problems and inspire better business decisions
-
Collaborate across geographies to translate stakeholder needs into technical magic: from scoping to deployment
-
Work seamlessly with agile teams of engineers, analysts, and data scientists to build bold, scalable solutions
-
Craft semantic models that power conversational analytics and fuel self-service intelligence
-
Work with Google Cloud & Power BI Copilot, navigating big data and selecting the right tools to unlock insight
-
Engineer intelligent prompts that ensure relevance, clarity, and impact for generative tools
-
Support with user training and adoption activity to ensure Gen BI is effectively scaled across the Group
What you bring
We’re after curious, driven, and creative thinkers and as an Advanced Analyst you will be expected to have good experience and capabilities as follows…
-
At least 4 years of hands-on experience in data science or BI self-service insights projects
-
Strong foundations in statistics — think forecasting, clustering, optimisation and predictive modelling
-
Python skills that go beyond the basics — modular, efficient, and intuitive code
-
Solid proficiency in SQL and cloud platforms, especially BigQuery
-
A sharp nose for commercial insight, using data to unlock value and shape strategy
-
A flair for data storytelling, turning models into messages that move minds
Bonus points if you’ve taken projects from proof-of-concept to full industrial scale in complex business environments.
We get it — Generative BI is fresh, fast-moving, and maybe not something you’ve had the chance to dive into just yet.
That’s why we’re not expecting perfection. What matters most to us is your curiosity, your technical mindset, and a proactive attitude. If you're the kind of person who sees challenge as opportunity, we're ready to invest in you and help grow the Generative BI skills you'll need to thrive in this space.
We’re building a team of pioneers — not just experts, but learners, innovators, and bold thinkers. If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.
This role is based in the Lloyds Technology Centre (LTC) and operates as a service provider to the UK business team (CDAO). While the activities and responsibilities of the role holder can be assigned and managed (i.e. day to day task direction) as the business team requires, the role holder remains an LTC colleague, and their Line Management remains in LTC.
Note: This role is managerial within the LTC service provider context. It does not carry strategic leadership, line management or influence within the UK Ring Fenced Bank but may be responsible for leading an LTC team and ensuring high-quality service delivery to UK stakeholders.
What you’ll get
You’ll be offered a competitive package which includes:
-
Salary – dependent on location and experience,
-
Bonus,
-
A generous pension contribution; and
-
Flex cash to spend on a host of benefits to suit your lifestyle
