Job Summary:

The Generator Foreman is responsible for supervising the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of diesel generator sets and related electrical systems. The role ensures that all work is completed according to technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines while leading and coordinating technicians, electricians and the Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise technicians and electricians involved in generator assembly, installation, and maintenance.
• Oversee the installation of diesel generators, control panels, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and switchgear systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.
• Ensure proper installation of mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct inspection, testing, and commissioning of generator units before delivery or site handover.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor work progress of the technical team.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to generator systems.
• Coordinate with the operations, logistics, and procurement teams for required materials and equipment.
• Prepare work reports and update management on project status.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and the work area are properly maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in diesel generator assembly, installation, or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel generators, ATS systems, control panels, and switchgear.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience supervising technicians or technical teams.
• Experience with generator brands such as Cummins, Kubota, FPT, Perkins
• Experience in generator load testing and commissioning.
• A UAE driving license is an advantage.
