You will work with a variety of data sources, create models, visualizations, and tools that have a direct impact on people lives.

Main Duties and Tasks

  • Data Management & Analysis: Acquire, process, clean, and manage vector and raster geospatial data from diverse sources (e.g., public repositories, satellite imagery, drone data, internal databases).
  • Spatial Modeling & Geoprocessing: Perform spatial analysis (e.g., overlay, proximity, network analysis) and develop models to solve specific business problems.
  • Map Creation & Visualization: Design and produce high-quality static and interactive maps, dashboards, and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • GIS Platform Management: Contribute to the maintenance and development of our enterprise GIS (e.g., ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, QGIS Server) and associated databases.

  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to apply spatial analysis techniques to answer questions and solve problems. Experience with raster analysis (e.g., suitability modeling, change detection) is highly desirable.
  • Database & Scripting Skills: Proficiency in using SQL for querying spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SpatiaLite). Experience with a scripting language for automation (e.g., Python with libraries like ArcPy, GeoPandas, Fiona) is a key requirement.
  • Cartographic Design: A strong eye for cartographic design and the ability to create clear, effective, and visually appealing maps.
