Job Title: GIS Specialist

We are looking for multi-skilled candidates with a quantitative background for the position of GIS analyst. GIS analysts are responsible for discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping, developing mapping applications and tools and managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types, among other duties.

Key ResponsibilitiesGIS Development & Maintenance

· Develop, manage, and update GIS databases, layers, and metadata.

· Create high-quality digital maps, dashboards, and spatial visualizations.

· Integrate GIS data with other IT systems and applications.

Spatial Analysis & Decision Support

· Analyze geospatial data to support planning and operations.

· Perform spatial modeling and geostatistical analysis.

· Generate reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Data Accuracy & Quality Assurance

· Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.

· Implement geospatial data standards and best practices.

Technical Support & Training

· Provide GIS support to internal teams and stakeholders.

· Train users on GIS tools, software, and data usage.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s/Master’s in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or related field.

· 3+ years of GIS experience.

· Strong command of ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.

· Experience with spatial databases (PostGIS, SQL Server, etc.).

Skills

· Spatial data analysis and visualization.

· Knowledge of GPS, remote sensing, and satellite imagery.

· Basic programming (Python, SQL, JavaScript) is a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
