WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you’ll lead global process harmonization efforts across Bain’s HR Operations function and its three regions. You’ll support Bain’s talent strategy by driving consistency, efficiency, and service excellence in how our core HR systems support professional development, employee engagement, and mobility. This is a varied and high-impact role that blends program management, system knowledge, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll be a global thought partner and key liaison for HR teams, Program Management, and regional talent leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Key responsibilities include:

Leadership, Stakeholder Management & Process Improvement (40%)

• Lead global process harmonization initiatives—from redesign through implementation
• Align systems, stakeholders, and processes across regions to achieve service excellence
• Act as ombudsman and global point of contact for HR Ops teams, local HR, and Program Managers
• Partner with HR Ops leadership to shape team operating models and communication plans

Analysis & Innovation (20%)

• Analyze service levels, KPIs, and customer feedback to identify improvements
• Own audit processes and respond to data/reporting requests with accuracy and clarity
• Serve as a thought leader in identifying global synergies and scalable solutions

Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Support (30%)

• Translate and prioritize regional needs; advocate for consistent, scalable solutions
• Partner with Automation and HC Systems teams to drive improvement projects
• Champion change management, communication planning, and customer alignment

Talent & Team Development (10%)

• Coach and support administrators using Bain’s apprenticeship model
• Lead recruiting, screening, and onboarding for open roles within the team
• Provide ongoing feedback and ensure team members meet service expectations

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree (HR, psychology, management, or related field preferred)
• 5–7 years of HR experience; consulting/professional services a plus
• Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (career management, performance, etc.)
• Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Outstanding communication—both written and verbal (English fluency required)
• High discretion with confidential information and ability to work independently
• A change-ready mindset and comfort with ambiguity
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Experience working as an HR Business Generalist, working with HR processes & systems in a consulting or other professional services firm is preferred

U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package.

Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:

• In Illinois, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $107,500 - $128,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
• In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $102,500 - $123,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.

Additional compensation may include:

• Annual discretionary performance bonus
• 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, increasing after 3 years and fully vested upon start
