The primary responsibilities of the Procurement Category Manager are to manage end-to-end procurement activities for their category and lead cross-functional collaboration for Utilities category. They will be responsible for securing total cost of ownership reductions for their assigned category, define global strategy, and work with other counterparts globally to execute the regional strategies.

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days in office)
- End-to-end accountability for defining the category and supplier strategy with stakeholders and delivering year-over-year cost reduction within their category

Strategic interface with suppliers and accountable for building strong and strategic supplier relationships

Understand supplier market dynamics/intelligence and use it as input into the strategy

Monitor and report compliance to Source-to-Pay process for their category/suppliers

Drive supplier selection according to strategy, develop supplier base, and identify new suppliers

Ensure alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and broader company/functional strategy

Lead contract and price negotiations withs suppliers

Create and update supplier list according to category strategy

Work closely with key stakeholders, member organizations and corporate functions to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.

Identify and define procurement best practices both within and external to Zimmer Biomet and ensure that those best practices are implemented in their category
- 8+ years of track record in Strategic Procurement, specifically in Travel category.

Ability to develop high impact procurement strategies.

Required Skills

Experience managing the full spend responsibility for an utilities category.

Hands‑on experience in global procurement of utilities, with primary focus on natural gas and electricity.

Strong capability in developing and executing procurement strategies, owning supplier relationships, conducting negotiations, performing cost analysis, and managing the RFP process.

Ability to act as a change agent within the organization and drive continuous improvement.

Solid understanding of different market types with foundational knowledge that can be applied across new geographies.

Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.

Expertise across the full sourcing lifecycle, including contract and vendor management.

Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for analytics and reporting.
Desired Skills

Specialized Procurement or related certification or training preferred.

Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements
