Global Sourcing Manager - Karachi

We are looking for a strategic and analytical Global Sourcing Manager to manage our company’s sourcing activities.

The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of starch as ingredient and raw material globally. The role involves developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to achieve cost savings, quality, and delivery targets.

This role typically works in corporate office environment, but may also travel domestically to meet with Plant team and local suppliers. The role may require evening work to meet project deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• ⁠Develop and implement global sourcing strategies that meet business objectives and achieve cost savings targets.
• ⁠Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, best practices, and new suppliers to optimize the procurement process.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and senior management, to ensure alignment and support for sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and lead initiatives to achieve these goals.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures, in all sourcing and procurement activities.
• Develop and maintain procurement metrics to measure supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and track progress towards targets.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice processing, and supplier performance management.
• Develop and maintain a supplier diversity program to promote diversity and inclusion in the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, with a focus on global sourcing and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Knowledge of sourcing best practices, market trends, and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
