Global Strategic Associate Lead

Position overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP professional to take a senior leadership role in the EPI-USE Labs' Transformation Global Service Line, bringing their expertise in our solutions, clients, and the global SAP ecosystem to drive growth and delivery excellence across our specialist global service lines, which deliver solutions and services to clients worldwide.

This role is global in scope, with flexibility to work across time zones and regular international travel (typically 15–45%, occasionally more). As part of the senior leadership team, you will lead by example; promoting collaboration, integrity, and teamwork across the organisation. You will combine commercial acumen with the ability to shape deals, understand business costs, and make sound strategic decisions. Success in this role also means building trusted relationships, influencing through dialogue and respect, and applying both technical and functional SAP expertise (or broader IT consulting experience) with the ambition to grow across both areas.

Responsibilities

• Directly support the Global Service Line (GSL) Lead and engage in leading by overseeing project delivery, resource allocation, project success, people management and business development.
• Develop strategic plans for the GSL across resourcing and business development.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of GSL objectives and make decisions aligned to those objectives.
• Facilitate process and product optimisation and development across the GSL, liaising with other business units as required.
• Exercise sound financial judgement, analysing past performance in establishing future forecasts for GSL performance.
• Public speaking and representing EPI-USE Labs at key client or industry events.
• Deputise for the GSL lead as required.

Qualification required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science & engineering disciplines; or additional five years in industry working with SAP.
• SAP Certifications of any type.
• Database administration certifications.
• Cloud certifications.
• Data, reporting, ETL or related solutions certifications.
• Enterprise Architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF).

Experience and skills

• A minimum of twelve years in the IT industry, including considerable experience in a leadership role.
• At least two years’ experience of budget management and financial forecasting in a leadership role.
• Experience of leadership of a complex business in a high-pressure, commercial environment.
• Expert understanding of several relevant areas of SAP.
• Expert understanding of the SAP data model and its delivery.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to innovate.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent communication skills including in client-facing scenarios.
• Political and diplomatic skills; able to listen and exercise sound judgement in complex scenarios.
• Demonstrable ability to mentor and educate colleagues across the business in both hard and soft skills relevant to EPI-USE Labs.

Desirable skills

• Pre-Sales & Solutioning experience – support and solution design; ideally to include pricing of solutions and experience responding to RFQs / RFPs.
• Expert knowledge of SAP Landscape management: e.g. the workbench, transportation system, client structure, SolMan/CALM and how SAP and non-SAP systems integrate and interact.
