Global Supply Chain Manager

Position Type: Full time (Permanent)

Location: Pleasanton, Ca.

This is a full-time position, Mon - Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Diagnostic BioSystems, Inc. is an FDA registered, cGMP compliant, ISO 13485:2016 certified, manufacturer of products for the pathology, histology with focus on cancer research markets. We distribute products globally, domestically and international markets. Founded in 1994 and based in Pleasanton, California.

DBS has an open opportunity for a full-time Global Supply Chain Manager.

This position is primarily responsible for purchasing raw materials, manufacturing supplies, office supplies and other supplies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes bid requests.
• Get quotes from suppliers. Place orders from bids in Fishbowl.
• Effectively communicates with suppliers for ETA and backorder situation.
• Communicate ETA information to requestors.
• Qualify new suppliers and constantly monitor all suppliers’ services.
• Request for invoices from supplier to reconcile monthly.
• Process quarterly reports for Management review.
• Works with Receiving dept. to ensure orders are received correctly.
• Timely coordinate supplies purchasing with demand from manufacturing and other company departments.
• Work with supplier reps for any special offers/discounts.

Requirements

• Possesses 3-4 years of purchasing experience.
• Displays excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Possesses excellent organizational and follow-up skills; meets deadlines.
• Is knowledgeable fishbowl Inventory Management System. (preferred)
• Possesses and demonstrates professional telephone demeanor and appearance.
• Interacts successfully with all levels of staff and management; responds positively to direction and supervision.
• Identifies and implements solutions to problems.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; can multi-task.
• Successfully operates a PC, variety of software/applications, telephones, fax, scanner and copier.
