Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GNM/ANM Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, support patient recovery, and promote health and well-being across diverse clinical settings. Duties

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and manage catheter care following sterile techniques and aseptic procedures.
  • Assist with diagnostic evaluations like blood draws (phlebotomy), specimen collection, and processing to support accurate diagnosis.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions closely in acute care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine units, ensuring timely response to changes in status.
  • Provide specialized care for vulnerable populations including geriatrics, dementia patients, neonatal ventilator management, pediatric care, and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards like ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Support infection control protocols, wound suturing, airway management, and use of advanced medical equipment such as ventilators or cardiac catheters when necessary.

Requirements

  • Valid GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) or ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) certification from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; experience with Level II trauma centers is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management.
  • Hands-on experience administering injections, IV insertion/infusion, phlebotomy, catheterization, and sterile processing procedures.
  • Familiarity with specialized areas including dialysis, long-term care facilities, assisted living environments, pediatric units (PICU), neonatal units (neonatal ventilator), or behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including seniors, children, individuals with disabilities or dementia.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with team management experience to supervise junior staff when needed.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA standards.
