Golf Course Equipment Manager

Responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance at the Golf Course. Participates in all daily golf course maintenance activities and operations that occur on the Golf Course, year-round. Develops and executes a comprehensive maintenance and repair schedule, along with a detailed inventory control on parts and labor.

Essential Job Functions

· Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in the different types of golf course maintenance equipment through problem solving/testing.

· Assists the Golf Course Superintendent in developing equipment replacement strategies.

· Develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive and preventative maintenance program.

· Responsible for administrative duties such as parts and supplies inventory and the purchasing and receiving activities.

· Assists in safety training on equipment, proper cleaning and re-fueling operations; as well as a safe and clean working environment.

· Maintain accurate daily service records on equipment.

· Adhere to proper recycling and disposal of the various oils, compounds, antifreeze and any other fluids.

· Assists in course maintenance.

· Other duties assigned.

Requirements/Knowledge/Abilities

· Mechanical aptitude of small engines; maintenance, rebuild experience as well as knowledge of diesel engines.

· Adhere to all environmental policies and programs required.

· Operation and maintenance of equipment, power tools, machinery, and additional systems relating to the Golf Course.

· Knowledgement, repair and troubleshooting of machine hydraulic systems, engine electrical components and CPUS.

· Experience in welding and fabrication.

· Follows directions and instructions clearly.

· Strong ability to multi-task in the growing season.

· Must be computer literate, and strong in verbal, written and communication skills.

· Experience in cutting unit maintenance, reel/bedknife grinding and setup.

Job Type: Full-time
