Position: Golf Course Facilities Manager

Department: Golf Operations

Reports to: General Manager

Location: Bahrain

Role Purpose

Golf Course Facilities Manager is responsible for the management, maintenance, operations, and improvement to the organization’s facilities. It is the role holder’s responsibility to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for employees, visitors, and clients. Also, they oversee building systems, maintenance schedules, vendor relationships, and budget management related to facility operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

General

1. Facility Maintenance and Operations:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, and mechanical systems.

- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.

- Respond to and resolve facility-related emergencies and issues promptly.

- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential problems.

- Manage and maintain building security systems, including access control and surveillance.

- Coordinate cleaning, waste disposal, and pest control services.

2. Space Management:

- Plan and manage office space allocation and layout to maximize efficiency and utilization.

- Oversee office moves, relocations, and renovations.

- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

- Manage furniture and equipment inventory.

3. Vendor Management:

- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors for maintenance, repairs, and other facility services.

- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors.

4. Budget Management:

- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting expenses and controlling costs.

- Track and monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to budget constraints.

- Prepare and present budget reports to management.

- Procure materials and services while staying within budget.

5. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.

- Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.

- Maintain safety equipment e.g., life rings, first aid kits, etc.

- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and incidents.

6. Project Management:

- Plan and manage facility-related projects, such as renovations, upgrades, and installations.

- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Manage project documentation.

7. Team Leadership:

- Supervise and manage facilities staff, including maintenance technicians and support personnel.

- Provide training and development opportunities for staff.

- Assign tasks and monitor progress.

8. Emergency Response:

- Create and maintain emergency response plans.

- Coordinate facility response during emergencies like fires or power outages.

BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum of 8-12 years of experience

· Relevant certifications e.g., CFM/FMP is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to BD1,500.000 per month
