Golf Course Maintenance Worker

The City of Bangor Parks and Recreation Department and the Bangor Municipal Golf Course is seeking reliable and hardworking Golf Course Maintenance Workers to join the Course Maintenance Team and help maintain the overall appearance and playability of our golf course. This position is responsible for performing routine grounds maintenance and the preparation of the facility to ensure an excellent experience for golfers. Typical tasks would include mowing, bunker maintenance, daily course set up, operating equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors and hand tools), irrigation repair, and other landscaping type projects.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate maintenance equipment safely.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule

Eight hour Shifts begin at 6:00 AM.

Pay & Benefit Highlight

This position is part-time seasonal with an anticipated hours per week of 30 - 40, that may change based on business needs and can be weather dependent. Part-time employees accrue Earned Paid Leave time. Compensation begins at $16.01 per hour.

Minimum Requirements
