CCL Global are collaborating with a Global Leader in Energy Technology to recruit a Government Affairs Manager to be based in Riyadh. This is high level role reporting directly to the Managing Director. As Government Affairs Manager, you will develop and implement a comprehensive government affairs strategy aligned with companies objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor and implement an annual government affairs strategy with country MD in alignment with country strategy.
  • Develop and monitor changes in a country stakeholder map and power-interest matrix for key projects and programmes.
  • Track and develop response strategies for key country and BA issues required GA mitigation and support.
  • Monitor, analyse and develop influencing plans for policy, legislative and regulatory developments that impact the clients operations.
  • Monitor, analyse and develop response plans for geo-political trends and risks impacting SE market position.
  • Identify key engagement platforms to drive advocacy, thought leadership and insights campaigns that further the clients interests in key decision-making processes and enhance their reputation and market position.
  • Coordinate and prepare executive briefing materials, reports, and presentations in coordination with relevant MD's Office, BAs and Functional counterparts.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government representatives and industry associations.
  • Collaborate with BAs and Functional counterparts to ensure alignment of government affairs strategies with business objectives.
  • Represent the client at industry events, conferences, and meetings with government officials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related role within the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of policy, legislative and regulatory processes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and executive stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective advocacy strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain government stakeholder ecosystems and partnerships driving value for the business.
