What you'll do:

Team noon has some of the fastest, smartest, and hardest-working people we've encountered. With a young, aggressive, and talented team, we're driving major missions forward.

We are looking for a highly driven professional to manage all government relationships in Egypt and accelerate our on-ground operations. This person will act as the primary liaison with government authorities, ensure compliance, facilitate approvals, and remove operational roadblocks, with a strong focus on dark store and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage relationships with government bodies, regulators, and local authorities across Egypt.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulations affecting dark stores and other retail operations.
  • Facilitate timely approvals, permits, and licenses required for business operations.
  • Work closely with local authorities to resolve any operational or compliance issues that could impact store setups or day-to-day operations.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and advise leadership on potential impacts.
  • Act as the point of contact for government audits, inspections, or queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, legal, commercial) to accelerate on-ground execution.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively solve issues to maintain timelines.
  • Represent the company in industry forums, trade associations, and government meetings as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on government affairs, compliance, and operational progress.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience managing government relations in Egypt, preferably in retail, logistics, or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of local regulations, permits, and compliance requirements, including dark store operations.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with government stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
