Government Relations & Regulatory Compliance Specialist (Egypt – ICT Sector)

Cairo, Egypt (On-ground presence required – frequent visits to government entities)

Role Summary (Read Carefully)

We are hiring a highly experienced Government Relations Specialist to manage and execute all interactions with Egyptian government entities, specifically within the ICT sector.

This role is not administrative.
You will be directly responsible for obtaining approvals, registrations, licenses, and maintaining ongoing compliance with government authorities.

Candidates without proven, hands-on experience dealing with government entities (e.g., ITIDA, MCIT, GAFI, chambers) will be rejected.

Core Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end government registrations and licensing processes
• Manage company registration and compliance with
• Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA)andChamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications
• Liaise directly with:
• Ministry of Communications and Information Technology
• GAFI and other relevant authorities
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on:
• Licensing applications
• Chamber memberships
• Regulatory filings
• Track all compliance deadlines and ensure zero delays or penalties
• Build and maintain relationships with key government contacts
• Resolve issues, rejections, and delays through direct intervention❗ Mandatory Requirements (Non-negotiable)
• Minimum 3–5 years of direct experience in Government Relations in Egypt
• Proven experience handling:
• ITIDA processes
• Government licensing
• Chamber registrations
• Strong knowledge of:
• Egyptian regulatory environment
• Company registration processes
• Licensing frameworks
• Existing network within:
• Government entities
• Regulatory bodies
• Ability to physically visit and follow up with government regularly

Disqualification Criteria

Applications will be rejected if you:

• Have only HR, marketing, or sales experience
• Lack direct government interaction experience
• Have theoretical knowledge without execution experience
• Cannot demonstrate previous successful government processes

Preferred Background

• Previous experience working inside or closely with:
• ITIDA
• MCIT
• Government agencies
• Experience in ICT / software / technology sector is a strong advantage

• Fast execution of registrations and approvals
• Ability to navigate bureaucracy efficiently
• Deliver results with minimal supervision
• Proactively identify and resolve regulatory risks
