Summary : We are seeking an experienced Government Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing government accounts, generating
leads, and driving sales growth within the public sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong
relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of government procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders.
Manage and grow existing government accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
and retention.
Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Lead Generation:
Identify and generate new leads within government entities at the federal, state, and local
levels.
Utilize various tools and strategies, including networking, attending industry events, and
leveraging social media, to source new opportunities.
Qualify leads to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the
company's presence in the government sector.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to government clients.
Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring compliance with government regulations and
procurement guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field. MBA
preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years focused on government
accounts.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets within the government sector
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders
Ability to travel as require
