The Oregon Jewish Community Foundation (OJCF), founded in 1989, connects people’s passion with philanthropy recognizing that everyone has potential to be a leader, a philanthropist, and a change-maker in their community. OJCF partners with individuals and families to help them achieve their heartfelt philanthropic goals in support of the Jewish and broader communities. OJCF also partners with communal organizations to help them be effective long-term stewards of their mission and financial resources. OJCF reflects the broad-based generosity of the Jewish community as it grants approximately $9 million annually from donor funds and stewards approximately $150 million in charitable assets. Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Grants & Finance Associate to support the day-to-day financial and grants operations of the Foundation. This hourly, non-exempt position focuses on grant and scholarship administration, accurate processing, recordkeeping, and administrative support across accounting and fundholder activities.
This role is well‑suited for someone who enjoys working with financial data, thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑change environment, and wants to contribute to a mission‑driven organization through dependable operational and administrative support, including regular interaction with internal staff and people outside the organization.
Responsibilities
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in a nonprofit or foundation environment is helpful but not required. A successful candidate will enjoy working on a small team, and capable of navigating complex, shifting priorities. A commitment to OJCF’s mission and values is essential. Knowledge of Jewish practices or experience within the Jewish community is welcomed but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
This is an hourly, non‑exempt position paying $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience. The position is full‑time, 40 hours per week, with the possibility of hybrid work. Some evening or weekend work may be required. Benefits currently include Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, and a retirement plan.
