Position Overview
The Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper will manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities for clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience, strong technical proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss.)
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process payroll and prepare payroll tax filings.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Conduct internal reviews to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to support client financial decision-making.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience.)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles required.
- Advanced experience in QuickBooks Online required; experience with Zoho Books and Sage a plus.
- Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Public accounting experience preferred.

- $60,000 – $65,000 base per year plus bonus
