Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is legislatively charged with eleven areas of criminal justice coordination. CJCC financially and programmatically supports innovative programs and services to improve criminal justice and empower victims in the state of Georgia. The Victims Compensation Division (VAD) administers state and federal grant programs that directly serve victims within the state. Additionally, it acts as a coordinator, facilitator, and technical assistance provider to all sub-grantees.

The primary work address for the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council is: 104 Marietta Street, NW Atlanta, Georgia. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a combination of in-office and teleworking days.

Description:

Under broad supervision, prepares or consults on the preparation of complex grant proposals. Administers ongoing grant programs and related funds. The research service needs compatible funding sources and prepares requests for proposals. Provides grant management, programmatic monitoring, and strengths-based technical assistance to programs such as: Counseling Services, Victim Witness Assistance Program, Law Enforcement Base-Programs, Prosecutor Base-Programs, Legal Services and Elder Victim Services. Will serve in a lead role.

Note: Some overnight and out-of-state travel required as well as flexible work hours, including some weekends and evenings; up to 25% of the time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accomplish agency objectives by supervising staff, organizing, and monitoring work processes.
• Accomplish staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraise job results, conduct training, implement & enforce CJCC systems, policies, and procedures by using the agency prescribed Performance Management and Disciplinary Process and all relevant agency policy and procedures
• Collaborate with staff and other partners to prepare, administer, oversee & evaluate assigned grant program (s), this includes the evaluation of grant budgets for correct calculation of expenditure categories
• Coordinate multiple projects, proposals, and deadlines
• Assist in conducting critical analysis research
• Assist in developing or modifying policy and strategic plans
• Prepare reports and presentations for delivery to varied audiences
• Work with sub-grantees, grant applicants, outside partners and management to develop or implement strategic assigned grant program (s)
• Understand concerns and attitudes of the consumer, community, public interest groups and the employee and maintains good working relationships
• Manage the time & leave approval process, this includes time sheet & leave grid approval for Planners and Grants Specialist staff
• Supervise and assign workload to staff
• Oversee and manage special projects for the unit
• Assist in conducting critical analysis research, assists in the development or modification of policy and strategic plans
• Coordinate with stakeholders to improve access to victim services
• Assist in the administration of ongoing grant program and related funds
• Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
• Administer and/or award funds on behalf of agency or other grantors
• Analyze and assess the effectiveness of existing programs, and prepares related documentation
