Graphic Artist

Universal Promotions Inc. is a company specializing in the distribution and manufacturing of promotional items and corporate clothing for 35 years. We have several production departments (embroidery, metal casting, screen printing, sewing, engraving), which sets us apart from our competition.

Mandate

Under the authority of the director of operations, the Graphic Designer will be primarily responsible for processing customer requests for artworks and preparing the files necessary for the production of promotional items and corporate apparel. They will work closely with the account managers.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare visual proofs for customers
• Follow-up with sales team for art approval
• Create, handle and send art to industry suppliers, including transfer suppliers
• Approve proofs from supplier
• Prepare films for printing
• Color separations (CMYK, simulated spot separation, vector separation)
• Keep artwork files organized in the system
• Create and design new items for customers and e-stores
• Create content on social media according to established schedule
• Update websites according to established schedule
• Establish, monitor and maintain information technology systems and services

Requirements

• Studies in graphic design
• 1 year of experience or more
• Excellent command of Adobe Creative Cloud
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Asset: Knowledge of screen printing, embroidery, and metal casting
